At Milapam Organic Farm, Gir Genetics is a long-term mission to preserve, improve and pass on the purity of indigenous Gir cattle. Our focus goes beyond milk production. We work towards strong genetics, disease resistance, calm temperament and adaptability, while keeping the original Gir lineage intact.
As Ahirs, serving the cow is not a profession for us — it is our dharma and responsibility. Gir Genetics at Milapam was born from this belief: to support the development of indigenous Gir cattle through ethical and responsible breeding, not commercial exploitation.
Our work is based on continuous study and close observation of our herd, focusing on natural growth and genetic stability.
We started with just 2 Gir cows. Through selective and ethical breeding, today our herd stands strong at 14 cows, representing the 4th generation of lineage developed right here within our farm ecosystem.
Our breeding foundation is built using respected Sagwadi and Bhadwa bloodline bulls, known for their stability and purity.
These bloodlines are selected for genetic strength, calm temperament and long-term sustainability, not for short-term performance.
